Federal Agents Bust Newark Man With Nearly 7 Pounds Of Cocaine

Local and federal agents arrested a Newark man who had 3.2 kilograms -- nearly seven pounds -- of cocaine, authorities said.

Arturo Buret-Almonte, 43, was charged with possession and intent to distributed on Wednesday, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said.

Police officers and federal agents arrested Buret-Almonte at approximately 2:55 p.m. near Park Avenue and North 6th Street.
